Introduction to This Site

The Roberto Unger Websource went online on July 3, 2001.  This site represents our ambition to create a world-class web resource for students and scholars interested in the work of Roberto Mangabeira Unger, the social theorist, political activist and law professor whose books, Richard Rorty has said, have "a better chance than most to be linked to some world-transforming event."

The Unger Websource includes a variety of writings by and about Unger.  Materials include Unger's articles and lectures on world politics and architecture and many law review articles on his works, and reviews of his books from Passion: An Essay on Personality to Democracy Realized.

We welcome contributions, including long essays and shorter reviews, and we hope you will offer comments on how this site can be improved.
